Regular and Quarterly – Commercial Cleaning Parramatta

Some areas of the home, office and building are cleaned every few days. This might be the kitchen benches, dishes, sinks, vacuuming carpets, etc. Other areas only need cleaning every few months. This might be air conditioners, fridges, roofing, behind the TV, etc. Failure to address these areas every few months will lead to more difficult cleaning in the long term.

Gutters on the roof are something we take for granted, until they overflow in heavy rain or lead to some other issue. Grime and leaves will build up in gutters over time, and need to be removed. We might wonder why the front veranda and brickwork is constantly covered in grime, which actually gets worse when it rains. The truth is that rain on the roof is carrying dirt from the roof tiles onto the sides and veranda of the building. This will be terrible when the gutters are blocked. If we clean the gutters, perhaps every few months, we remove this problem.

Coffee machines are convenient, and do make a superior cup of coffee. But the insides of the machine will accumulate scaling and old coffee grounds. This ruins a potentially good cup of coffee. Some coffee machines have an auto-cleaning mode. We should use this. Other machines will need to be partially disassembled and cleaned every other month.

Shower curtains get wet every day. But this water will not clean them. Rather, it will tend to lead to mould and accumulated soap scum. Wash these shower curtains every few weeks, wipe down the shower rod, and spray the shower recess with chlorine to get rid of mould and soap residue.

Ovens and microwaves need cleaning. Microwaves can be wiped down. Try cooking a bowl of diluted vinegar and then wiping down the interior. Ovens need strong cleaners. A few have a self-cleaning setting.

Drains, including sinks, will accumulate fat and food debris. Every few months we should fill them with bicarbonate and vinegar. After half an hour we can rinse them clean with hot water.

Exhaust vents and air ducts (including air conditioners) need cleaning every few months. These devices do perform a valuable service by removing dust from the air. But this dust accumulates in the vents. Try vacuuming these vents or ducts, and use a can of compressed air on stubborn areas.

Carpet steaming is needed perhaps twice a year in the home, and four times a year in busy offices. This steam cleaning extracts the deep-down grit in the carpet shag, and removes pollen and other contaminants. This steam cleaning helps prolong the life of the carpet by removing the grit that caused excess wear on the carpet.

Lights will need occasional cleaning. This includes outdoor lights. It is not uncommon to find insect nests in these light structures, so be cautious.

Car parks are easy to overlook, but the people who use the cars will walk through the car park and track in dirt and grime. Find a way to wash these areas outside of office hours when they are not in use.
